3. The Rock vs. Triple H - Iron Man Match (Judgment Day 2000)
WWEThe two heated rivals had resumed their feud from a few years ago, this time with the more-coveted WWE championship at stake. Vince McMahon had turned on The Rock, helping Triple H retain the title while joining Stephanie and Shane as well as Hunter and DX in the McMahon-Helmsley regime. The Rock regained the belt at Backlash with the help of Steve Austin, and Hunter demanded to face Rocky in a 60-minute Iron Man match for the championship. The Peoples Champion accepted the challenge and Shawn Michaels was appointed special guest referee for the contest. The two elite performers used effective psychology and pacing in the opening stages of the match, and by the time we got down to less than four minutes left the score was all tied up at 5 falls a piece. Another reason this bout is so fondly-remembered is due to the return of The Undertaker, in his first appearance as BikerTaker. Taker had been out with an injury for months, and his return, barreling down to the ring on a motorcycle and unleashing hell on all the heels sent the crowd into a frenzy. But his interference caused HBK to be forced to reluctantly disqualify The Rock, giving Triple H the win and the championship, 6-5.
