The Rock's 10 Funniest WWE Promos

9. Mocking WCW Wrestlers By Doing Impressions

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=icIY5uF7PS4 The Rock went heel in late 1998 to become "Corporate Rock" at a time when fans were ready to start cheering him. During the famous sketch where Degeneration X was in the ring mocking The Corporation, Rock decided to show up with Shawn Michaels and others as a way to fire back against them. What Rock did that night was something that was unheard of at the time because he mentioned the catchphrases of performers that were in WCW at the time. It was rare for WWE to take shots at WCW, so it was a big deal. After Rock told Triple H he would put the World Title on the line, he tried to end the promo with a familiar catchphrase. He did the "what you gonna do" line from Hulk Hogan, then said that's not it. He followed that up with Ric Flair's "to be the man" line and then said that wasn't it either. Rock also said that "ooh yeah dig it" like Randy Savage, but that wasn't right. The funniest one in the bunch was when he said "I'm the best there is, the best there was..." like Bret Hart and Shawn Michaels was there to laugh about it. This was a year after Survivor Series 1997 when Bret Hart got screwed by Michaels and WWE, so it was really smart of Rock to bring it up to get heat. Rock ended it with his line and he proved to everybody that he was on his way to become one of the best promo men ever.
