"He'd probably have to be slapped around a few times in order to get his mind right."

Make Roman look strong, make Roman look strong, make Roman look strong, make Roman look strong…

We all remember the words of CM Punk upon joining Colt Cabana’s Art of Wrestling podcast for his first in-depth interview after quitting WWE back in 2014. And now, current Universal Champion Roman Reigns has been discussing how he’d be open to facing off against the Straight Edge Superstar – but that he’d have to slap Punk around a bit first.

Speaking to the Load Management podcast (as picked up on by Ryan Satin), the new High Chief of WWE has talked about how he’d be happy to do business with CM Punk should the chance arise.

Punk and Reigns have previously squared off on two different occasions.

The first of which was a three-on-one handicap match on a December 2013 episode of Raw where the Second City Saint overcame the odds to get the win over Roman Reigns, Dean Ambrose and Seth Rollins. The second time that Punk and Reigns got to lock up was on the 6 January 2014 Old School special edition of Raw, where the Big Dog got a singles win over Punk.

Just mere weeks after that singles match against Reigns, CM Punk would compete in his (to date) last ever match at the 2014 Royal Rumble PPV.
