Having not been seen for three months, Roman Reigns finally made his long-awaited WWE return on last night's edition of Raw. Reigns had been absent from WWE programming since the Raw after WrestleMania 41.

In the Raw main event, we had a gauntlet to crown a new number one contender to face World Heavyweight Champion Gunther at SummerSlam next month. Bron Breakker and Penta started things off, and it was the second-generation Steiner who was the star of the match, putting away Penta after 10 minutes or so, then defeating LA Knight after another 10 minutes, defeating Jey Uso in about seven minutes, and the match then coming down to Breakker vs. CM Punk.

Throughout the bout, there were plenty of shenanigans from Bron's buddy Bronson Reed, but that wasn't enough to bring down Punk, with the Second City Saint stopping a spear attempt with a kick and then hitting the GTS for the win. Still, post-match, Reed attacked Punker, with Uso and Punk both receiving spears from Breakker.

Just as the Straight Edge Superstar and Main Event Jey were stacked up and ready to be hit with a Tsunami Splash by Bronson Reed, the familiar music of one Roman Reigns hit. The OTC made his way out and cleared the ring of the heels, before helping Jey Uso to his feet. Notably, Roman did not help CM Punk up, despite the Chicagoan extending a hand to the Tribal Chief.

While it's obviously not confirmed, it would appear WWE is moving forward with a Roman Reigns & Jey Uso vs. Bron Breakker & Bronson Reed match, likely at SummerSlam. And as for CM Punk, he now has himself a SummerSlam shot at Gunther and the World Heavyweight Title.
