Ronda Rousey UFC 207 Defeat - 7 Things We Learned

1. Retirement Is A Strong Possibility

While she hasn't said anything yet, there's a good chance Ronda Rousey is done with MMA.

It's clear that losses devastate her. She struggled with the loss to Holly Holm in 2015, and immediately left the octagon following her loss to Nunes being announced. She has ample opportunities in Hollywood, and plenty of money from her fighting career. The PPV bonus dollars from UFC 207 alone should make her millions.

It's hard to imagine Rousey wanting to rebuild. She has long talked about wanting to retire around 30, the age she'll hit in February. She looked like she wanted to flee the octagon while Nunes was teeing off on her (though it's hard to fault her for that), and her legacy as a trailblazer is secure.

She is fiercely competitive, and may not want to go out on a loss. If she sticks around, a lot of changes will be required to ensure her next fight is a success, but in all honesty, this might be the best time to walk away, with her health intact, still relatively young, and with plenty of options elsewhere.
