Ronda Rousey will wrestle her first TV/non-pay-per-view match in three years on next week's SmackDown.

WWE announced on Friday's show that Rousey vs. Sonya Deville will happen on next week's episode. That, again, will be Rousey's first free TV showing for the company since working a six-woman tag-team bout on the 1 April 2019 Raw.

There, she teamed with WrestleMania 35 opponents Becky Lynch and Charlotte Flair to face The Riott Squad.

This is a super-rare TV bout for Ronda, but it's more than just a tune-up match before she meets Flair for the SmackDown Women's Title at WrestleMania 38 - WWE are hyping the clash as a bid to finally put Deville in her place after months or power-mad shenanigans.

It also looks like Naomi has been phased out of things.

As previously reported, she seems set to team with Sasha Banks and gun for the Women's Tag-Team Titles come 'Mania. That doesn't leave any room for her to continue feuding with Sonya over the next month or so, meaning Deville will be fed to Rousey and then move on.

Or, Charlotte will get involved and WWE will book a non-finish.
