Update On WWE's WrestleMania 38 Plans For Sasha Banks
It looks like Sasha Banks will have to settle for something minor at WrestleMania 38.
Sasha Banks looks destined to team with Naomi and challenge for the Women's Tag-Team Titles at WrestleMania 38.
The 'Boss' beat Shotzi on this week's SmackDown, then wore a surprised look when Naomi entered the ring and suggested they team up heading into Dallas. Banks smiled and hugged her prospective new partner, and the story didn't end there.
Later, several WWE streams on social media started hyping up the idea of Sasha and Naomi bagging the belts. That prompted some responses from current Women's Tag Champs Carmella and Queen Zelina - both quoted tweets with .GIFs and a quick, "LOL".
It's unclear quite yet if the match will be Sasha and Naomi vs. Carmella and Zelina or some multi-team bout designed to squeeze as many folks as possible onto the 'Mania cards. Stay tuned for more info on that when it breaks, basically.
For now though, it does seem certain that Banks will be involved in the Women's Tag-Team division come WWE's big April weekender. She didn't have a big singles title match lined up anyway. Those slots are already taken, so Sasha will have to settle for a smaller role.
