Ronda Rousey's WWE Return: 10 Matches We Must See

1. Becky Lynch

Ronda Rousey was originally set to face “The Lasskicker” at 2018’s Survivor Series PPV until a clumsy Nia Jax punch forced a change of plans. It was for the best, though, as the image of Lynch’s bloodied face helped solidify her as “The Man”.

This meant their eventual match would be a much bigger deal and indeed they were booked to face each other as the first women to headline a WrestleMania. Then WWE exercised their proclivity to fix what isn’t broken and added Charlotte Flair to the match.

That encounter’s slightly botched finish could be used as a storyline driver, with Rousey feeling hard done by and out to get her revenge, but really a simple match graphic would be more than enough to sell the rematch.

Per Dave Meltzer, current plans would see Ronda and Becky face off at WrestleMania 39. Will WWE really keep us waiting so long? Plus Ronda will supposedly leave the company at that point. Given that the match would presumably be for a title and WWE are traditionally reluctant for anyone to leave the promotion as champion, is this the biggest telegraphed result ever?

Hopefully not. Fans have been waiting long enough to see these two go one on one. After “Big Time Becks” interrupted Ronda on this week’s Raw, will WWE really tease the match they know we want only to go another way?
