Shane McMahon vs. The Undertaker: 9 Reasons We're Not Sure How To Feel
3. It's 2016
One of the competitors is old, washed up, past his prime, and has no business wrestling, and the other guy is Shane McMahon. The reality is there's no way Shane is entering that Cell on April 3rd in Dallas, Texas and doing anything remotely near as risky as the stuff he's known for. It just isn't happening. Not only does WWE shy away from the car-crash style matches of cells in the past, but this is an entirely different guy we're talking about here. Shane hasn't spent the last decade in the gym preparing for his last big run; he's been sitting at a desk in a boardroom in Colorado and China. He's also a 46-year old father of three who has no business taking Mick Foley-esque dives off giant steel cages to pop the crowd. I have no doubt the match will be brutal, at least within the confines of the current WWE PG environment, but it will be through a lot of smoke and mirrors rather than any patented Shane-O-Mac stunt dives and ECW-era hardcore spots.
