Shawn Michaels' 10 Best Matches Ever
9. Vs. Mankind (In Your House: Mind Games)
At least in one point in his life, the match was Mick Foley's personal favorite from his own portfolio, calling it, "the finest match of my career." He would add, "...try as I might, I don't think I've ever been quite that good again."
The match took place in Philadelphia, a city in which Foley had spent more time taking bumps than enjoying the sights over the years. This match would be no different, with Foley's head and body being subjected to the usual masochistic punishment that would be his norm. The most memorable spot was the countered back-superplex through the ringside table that tops any Shane McMahon leap of faith elbow, for sheer insanity.
And yet, considerable portions of the match saw the two actually trying to outwrestle each other, with Foley demonstrating his athletic mettle. It was another Michaels showstealer, mixing different styles with an opponent that isn't exactly his identical twin, but their differences and similarities combined for a true thrill.
