With WWE Survivor Series 2022 only a matter of weeks away, there's now word on the planned participants in the men's titular WarGames match.

As per Mike Johnson over at PWInsider.com, the current plan is for that bout to see Roman Reigns, Jey Uso, Jimmy Uso, Solo Sikoa and Sami Zayn battle Drew McIntyre, Sheamus, Butch, Ridge Holland... and Kevin Owens.

Last week's SmackDown put plenty of seeds in place for the Bloodline to face off with the Brawling Brutes and McIntyre, though many were left wondering whether this WarGames contest would end up being a four-on-four offering or the usual five-on-five. And if it was five-on-five, and presumably Sami Zayn would join Roman and the Usos, who would be the final name added to the babyface side.

While many fans have predicted Kevin Owens as the final piece of the WarGames puzzle, it now looks as if WWE indeed has/had those same plans in place.

Of course, the curveball to all of this is that the Prizefighter suffered an injury this past weekend during a live event. Depending on the severity of said injury, it could mean that WWE has to change course and turn to someone else to oppose the Bloodline later this month.

Kevin Owens' Injury Concerns

As alluded to, Kevin Owens suffered what's believed to be a sprained MCL during a house show match against Austin Theory in Madison, Wisconsin this past Sunday.

While WWE officials are hopeful that this is 'just' a sprain, there is a concern that the injury could be something worse. The injury occurred when Owens came down on his right knee, and he immediately grabbed his knee in pain and communicated with the referee. From there, the bout was quickly brought to an end, with the positive being that KO was still able to get up and hit the Stunner on Theory to pick up the 1-2-3.

Reports earlier today claimed that WWE had major plans for Kevin Owens prior to this injury. Whether or not this knee issue is enough to significantly alter those plans, remains to be seen.

Emanating from Boston's TD Garden, Survivor Series: WarGames takes place on Saturday 26 November.

As it stands, the confirmed matches for Survivor Series as of this writing are:

- Raw Women's Champion Bianca Belair, Asuka, Alexa Bliss, Mia Yim & A.N. Other vs. Bayley, IYO SKY, Dakota Kai, Nikki Cross & Rhea Ripley

- SmackDown Women's Champion Ronda Rousey vs. Shotzi

- Finn Balor vs. AJ Styles
