5. Sting Vs. Lex Luger - Superbrawl 2

In 1992, Sting would have his greatest run of excellence in-between the ropes, and it would begin with his World Title match against Lex Luger at Superbrawl II. Their encounter here was the culmination of a race between them that began in the late 80's, to see who would supplant Ric Flair as WCW's franchise player. 

With the Total Package's manager Harley Race ringside, WCW's two top athletes, and real life close friends, had a goodbye match as Lex Luger was leaving for WWE shortly after. In ring there was nothing overly impressive, but this contest is regarded more for it's historical purpose. Prior to this, Luger and Sting met a few times, but never for the WCW title, and they never would again. 

After this contest, Sting would have an epic year feuding with Rick Rude, Cactus Jack, Jake Roberts, and Vader. Speaking of which...
