Sting Talks How His Wrestling Career Will End: "Darby Is Going To Be A Part Of It For Sure”
The Icon already has his final stretch in AEW plotted out...
Sting has already started planning how he'd like his iconic in-ring career to come to an end.
Speaking to The Ringer recently, The Icon was nudged on what endgame he had in mind heading into the final stretch of his long-running career in-between the ropes. And it likely won't come as too much of a surprise to hear that long-time AEW ally Darby Allin has very much been factored into his plans to call it a day.
In Stinger's own words:
"Well, I know Darby is going to be a part of it for sure. I won’t have a singles match at this point. Darby will be along with me and I’ll be along with him and we can add more to it as far as I’m concerned. But I have a few people [in mind] and I really don’t want to say now."
The AEW legend will no doubt have a long line of talents to choose from when it comes to who will be seemingly joining forces with him to take down another unit in Sting's final showing.
And speaking of last outings in the squared-circle, the veteran performer will be tagging with another absolute legend in The Great Muta for his retirement bout next month, with the two icons of the business teaming with Allin on January 22 at the Great Muta Final Bye Bye show.

Could 2023 see the final match of the immortal Sting, too? Quite possibly. But judging from the last year alone, you also wouldn't put it past The Stinger to go on for another five years as a tag team crowd-popper alongside his fellow face-painted babyface.
