Sting To WWE: 10 Big Talking Points

8. What Deal Will He Be On And Will It Create Locker Room Resentment?

Part time contracts can create a lot of resentment within WWE, with stars such as CM Punk speaking up for the locker room in the past against part timers coming to steal big money-making spots over the full time roster who work their hardest all year. The big issue in all of this is money. Brock Lesnar for example has appeared less than half of what someone like Bray Wyatt has done in the last six months, but will be making far more money for his lesser effort. Sure, he's a star, but people are still going to be annoyed someone who doesn't work as hard gets more money. This situation could be even more aggravated with Sting, yet another former star coming in and blocking a spot which could have been used for a full time worker. Presumably this won't be a full time deal and presumably Sting won't come cheap after all these years. In all likelihood, Sting will do less than half of what many of the main roster do but for a lot more money. Next year at WrestleMania 31 he stands to be in the top six earners on the night based upon card position. That's going to create some jealousy amongst the WWE superstars, a guy who has given nothing to WWE and worked in competition in the last three decades is now going to come in and take a significant chunk of their cash.
