Sting To WWE: 10 Reasons His Deal Is A Mistake For All Involved

5. Horrible WWE Creative Will Taint Sting's Legend

Beyond the Undertaker match, WWE's other reported pitch for Sting was to cast him as the general manager of Raw. This idea is just astoundingly bad. You get hold of someone who's famous for being a WCW icon and you straight away insert him as a WWE power figure? That just doesn't make any sense, a GM role is completely contradictory to Sting's enigmatic character. Surely Sting himself is aware of just how much of a mistake that role would be. The thing is, if this is the level of WWE's thinking, why trust them with anything else? Sting would be making a bold gamble with his career legacy if he's to allow the 'creative geniuses' at WWE to write his final chapter. One ominous sign about the Sting GM idea is that Brad Maddox has just been fired from the role. Could it be a move to allow Sting to come in? Time will tell, but please WWE, don't go through with this terrible idea.
