The "Two Man Power Trip", as they were called, consisted of the biggest star in the WWF (Steve Austin) and the best wrestler in the WWF (Triple H), two men who earlier in that year had been heated rivals. Together, they won the WWF tag titles at Backlash 2001 from The Brothers of Destruction (Undertaker and Kane). Not only did the team now possess the Tag Team titles, they also held the WWF title (Austin) and the WWF Intercontinental title (Triple H). Triple H would drop the Intercontinental title to Kane at Judgment Day on May 20, and the very next night he and Austin were set to defend the tag team titles against Chris Jericho and Chris Benoit in San Jose. The match is best remembered as the night where Triple H tore his quad, yet still somehow managed to finish the match. It is too bad that seems to be all that most people remember about the match, because the match itself was a masterpiece.
