Stone Cold Steve Austin's 10 Best Matches Ever

4. Steve Austin vs. Dude Love (Over The Edge 1998)

It was during the summer of 1997 when Mick Foley debuted the Dude Love character in the WWF. Austin needed a tag team partner, and out strutted the character that Foley had created as a teenager. Austin and Love went on to win the tag team titles from Owen Hart and the British Bulldog on that night. Fast forward to 1998. Dude Love has now become a corporate sympathizer, doing whatever it takes to please the boss and win the WWF title. Mr. McMahon did everything he could going into the Over The Edge ppv to help ensure a victory for Love; McMahon would serve as guest referee, Gerald Brisco was the guest ring announcer, and Pat Patterson would serve as guest timekeeper. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=IlNQ6wvOvqA&feature=kp As the match went on, the rules began to change at McMahon's discretion. First, it became a no disqualification match. Then, when the two wrestlers started to brawl throughout ringside, it became a falls count anywhere match. After one of the great brawls in WWF history, Austin was able to get the pinfall (thanks in part to the Undertaker coming out for the assist, helping clear away McMahon's stooges). http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=c1b2fnPG1c4
