Former AEW World Champion Swerve Strickland posted then deleted via X, and it has many within the pro wrestling community wondering what's next.

Swerve posted on his official X account to say: "Time to start asking questions why Swerve ain't on TV", but the post was quickly taken down. Of course, fans still managed to screenshot the evidence, and it's since become a hot topic on social media - Strickland hasn't followed up on the post with anything similar.

Strickland's latest match on AEW screens was a stipulation-heavy number one contendership vs. EVP Position bout with Kenny Omega on the 25 March episode of flagship show Dynamite. Swerve lost that battle, and it remains to be seen what's next in terms of booking for the former WWE man.

Since jumping over to AEW from WWE in 2022, Strickland has been a loyal foot soldier for Tony Khan. He's repeatedly championed the company as "where the best wrestle", and has pointed out that opportunities exist under Khan that previously didn't under Vince McMahon or Triple H elsewhere.

Have things changed, or was this simply a moment of frustration that Swerve quickly thought better of? Only time will tell on that, but he's clearly miffed about the lack of TV time lately. In total, Strickland has worked just 7 televised matches in 2026. It's only May, but put that another way: We're almost halfway through the year.

It's pretty clear that he wants more focus and to play a bigger role in AEW booking. Over to you, Tony.
