Terry Funk Supports AEW's Exploding Barbed Wire Deathmatch
Hardcore legend Terry Funk wishes Moxley and Omega the best of luck at AEW Revolution.
Terry Funk is fully behind Jon Moxley and Kenny Omega when it comes to the pair's upcoming Exploding Barbed Wire Deathmatch at AEW's Revolution 2021 PPV.
In a tweet sent from Funk's official Twitter account, it was revealed that the hardcore legend is rooting for the two AEW stars to "wake up Vince with a good kick in his ass" via the recently announced match-up.
The message of support sent from Funk's Twitter account reads as follows:
"Just talked to Mr. Funk & he’s doing okay. He just wanted to wish @JonMoxley & @KennyOmegamanX the best of luck in their exploding barbed wire match. He says the match is a good way for @aew to wake up Vince with a good kick in his ass. He wants you to know he’s pulling for you!"
It recently came to light that Funk has been battling against severe hip pain, with Dustin Rhodes recently tweeting out that fans should keep him in their prayers at this time. Hopefully the man synonymous with this type of gruelling match is able to witness Mox and Omega go to war over the AEW World Championship on March 7.
The latest iteration of the violent encounter was set in motion at the end of this week's Dynamite, with Omega attacking his challenger alongside The Good Brothers as Funk's brother, Dory Funk Jr., watched on from the sidelines.
Could this be the spark that ignites a new age of extreme content in the land of professional wrestling? Funk seems to think so, and it's not hard to see why.
