That Time Hulk Hogan Had A WWE Nightmare About The Rock

Welcome to the nW-noooooooooooo!

Hulk Hogan The Rock

Picture this: Hulk Hogan wakes up in a cold sweat, removes his 'Hulk Still Rules' bandana (which he definitely wears all the time) and comes to the slow realisation that it was all just a nasty nightmare and he can go back to sleep in his 'Hulkamania' jammies.

It sort of happened like that. Almost.

This is an oldie but a goodie. Last year, Hogan told fans on Twitter about a bad dream he had. In it, The Rock had replaced him as the leader of the nWo and was gleefully rubbing his newfound leadership in Hulk's face. It sounds like ol' Terry had been watching retro episodes of Raw on the WWE Network, stumbled upon Rocky Maivia usurping Faarooq in the Nation Of Domination and let his imagination run wild, brother.

Either that or Hogan was subconsciously remembering a storyline pitch he forgot to tell Vince McMahon about in 2002. His nightmare does reek of some sort of political play Hulk might've made at the time to recapture his babyface glory and cash in on fan nostalgia by quitting the nWo and re-embracing red and yellow.

Then again, he did that anyway, and didn't even have to let The Rock become nWo '4 Life' to get there.
