12 Most Desperate Grabs For Relevancy In WWE

5. Big Show Versus Brock Lesnar At Madison Square Garden, New York 2015

It was the match that no one wanted. We've already talked about WWE's attempts to bring back its part-time (and that's being generous) legacy stars to get Raw ratings numbers up again. We got to see in action how that plan fell completely and utterly on its face, at least so far. The company created Brock Lesnar's supposedly scary Go to Hell "tour," which currently consists of two live dates (one being the October 3rd, 2015 Madison Square Garden gig and the other being the October 19th episode of Raw) and a podcast with Stone Cold Steve Austin. Most confusingly of all, instead of booking Lesnar against someone of merit for the random televised MSG house show, the writers chose Big Show. That's not to say that the two behemoths don't have history, but they haven't feuded in forever, and no matter how hard that WWE tried to suddenly push Big Show as a viable threat, he was put away by Lesnar in about 10 minutes in a match that was pretty much a squash. It, just like the rest of the MSG show and WWE's current product in general, was predictable and underwhelming.
