While Jerry Only was doing his best to become a wrestling star, other members of the band were busy making friends. Guitarist Doyle in particular was making one specific friend, and one very macho enemy.

Macho Man Randy Savage was a notoriously jealous individual, and there is no shortage of stories from other wrestlers about his paranoia and protectiveness of his valet and real-life wife, Miss Elizabeth. By 1999, Savage was no longer with Elizabeth, and was now accompanied to the ring by Stephanie Bellars, a beautiful blonde who appeared using the ring name Gorgeous George. Savage had met Bellars in a Tampa Bay strip club, the two began dating, and Savage soon brought her into WCW. It wasn’t long before things turned sour, however. Bellars has alleged the late wrestler soon fell back into his possessive ways, and grew more abusive over time.

When The Misfits arrived backstage at WCW, Bellars apparently took an interest in a fresh face, even if it was a face covered in monster paint. She and Doyle hit it off, and she left Savage for the guitarist. The two got married, and eventually performed together in Doyle’s band Gorgeous Frankenstein, with Bellars dancing as the band played.

They eventually divorced in 2013.
