The Greatest Match From Every WWE WrestleMania

7. WrestleMania 29: The Undertaker Vs CM Punk

The Undertaker’s streak was to end one year later at the hands of Brock Lesnar - but really, should CM Punk have been the one to break it?

29 is a bit of a dodgy WrestleMania, with eyebrows raised at the immediate rehashing of The Rock and John Cena’s Twice In A Lifetime match, which elevates Taker/Punk even higher, but even on a better card, this match would shine.

Punk, a man not shy about speaking his mind, was ticked off at missing out on the headline spot - understandable, given his red hot form of the past couple of years - and clearly set out to steal the show. He and Undertaker do just that. Taker allows Punk to call the match, and the smaller man is surprisingly dominant throughout.

He hits Undertaker with everything he’s got, whipping the crowd up with moves from the Deadman’s arsenal, and has 70,000 people believing that the streak could be over. It wasn’t - Undertaker had a little fight in him left - but perhaps giving that rub to Punk would have been the right thing to do. Punk would be gone less than a year later, and Undertaker understandably hasn’t hit these heights since.
