Arn Anderson and Tully Blanchard had a blink-and-you'll-miss-it run in the World Wrestling Federation at the end of the 1980s, immediately aligning with Bobby 'The Brain' Heenan in their quest to win the WWF Tag Team Championship. The Busters first feud was against the Rockers, but it wasn't long before Arn and Tully became #1 Contenders for the tag straps.

They would go on to defeat champions Demolition in a two-out-of-three falls match, ending Ax and Smash's record 478-day reign and becoming the first team to win WWF and NWA tag gold in the process. This happened barely 10 months after they arrived in the company.

Demolition would regain the titles back from the Busters just a couple of months later; not long after, they were gone from the WWF. Heenan fired them from the Family in the middle of a two-out-of-three falls match against the Rockers.

Brief, but successful.

Born in the middle of Wales in the middle of the 1980's, John can't quite remember when he started watching wrestling but he has a terrible feeling that Dino Bravo was involved. Now living in Prague, John spends most of his time trying to work out how Tomohiro Ishii still stands upright. His favourite wrestler of all time is Dean Malenko, but really it is Repo Man. He is the author of 'An Illustrated History of Slavic Misery', the best book about the Slavic people that you haven't yet read. You can get that and others from www.poshlostbooks.com.
