The Major Problem About WWE's "New Era" Nobody Wants To Talk About

The way WWE recently presented both their male and female Elimination Chambers and their subsequent qualifiers is simply the latest example of "new era" same ol' s*** under 'The Game's watch, annoyingly.

On the men's side of things, 'Papa H' himself took to the ring alongside SmackDown and Raw GMs, Nick Aldis and Adam Pearce respectively, to introduce to the world the top contenders who would be fighting for the right to challenge for the 'Freakin' World Heavyweight Championship at 'Mania.

Each all-important qualifying match was then announced on that same show. How logical.

Whereas the ladies' Chamber qualification contests have seemingly just been thrown together as the weeks have rolled by, with Raw even bringing with it the ridiculous announcement of a last-chance battle royal - seemingly including folks who didn't even appear in a qualifier - for one of the spaces in the Women's World Championship number #1 contender's match.

The whole thing just screams of afterthought when compared with the more carefully thought-out men's version of the match. And WWE haven't even bothered trying to hide the fact Lynch is the clear favourite to win the whole thing either, stupidly opting to have Becky square-up to champion Ripley at the 'Mania Kickoff presser.

Also, the complete apathy that has met not just some of those women's Chamber qualifiers but the constant stream of lazily booked women's tag bouts on Raw and SmackDown is another reminder of how poorly Trips and the gang have handled such a stacked roster of performers.

Admittedly, the folks at the very top of the division do consistently force those watching on to give a damn. And Nia Jax has at least been presented as the sort of monster she should have always been after beating up half the roster.

But how in the hell is an Indi Hartwell, Tegan Nox, or Zoey Stark ever supposed to grow into that level of performer in this "new era" when they're constantly just sent out to die in front of a live crowd with little more than a quick highlight package and two-minutes of rushed action?

Even the latest potential megastar ladies who do seem genuinely poised to join The Horsewomen and other unstoppable women at the top have a reason to be worried in Triple H's kingdom...
