The Many Betrayals Of Triple H - From Worst To Best

3. Betrays X-Pac

This quite clearly should have been the final nail in the D-Generation X coffin. WrestleMania XV was the setting, and X-Pac was challenging Shane McMahon for the European Championship in what was secretly one of the best shows on the card. He was well on his way to victory before that dastardly Triple H decided to stick his noise in X-Pac's business.

Earlier in the night Chyna had helped Triple H to victory against Kane, and a D-Generation X reunion seemed on the cards. With X-Pac fighting against the odds against Shane, the arrival of Trips and Chyna seemed to even the odds. Well, not quite, as one Pedigree later the former 1-2-3 Kid was down for the 1-2-3.

You won't find many lists in which X-Pac marks ahead of Ric Flair, Randy Orton and Seth Rollins, but the shock of this at the time makes this a no-brainer. Hunter had been at odds with The Corporation for most of the year, and up until this point had been the rebellious heart of the company.

This was the first Plan B in Triple H's career, and the trope has followed him ever since.
