The Many Faces Of Chris Jericho - Ranked From Worst To Best

3. Y2J

For the overwhelming majority of his first tenure in the World Wrestling Federation and subsequently World Wrestling Entertainment, Chris Jericho was known as 'Y2J', a play on the 'Y2K bug' that many feared would destroy technology going into the new millennium.

Jericho made his debut by interrupting The Rock of all people, and his louder-than-life rock star-esque persona would stay with him throughout his first run. Whether as a heel or a face the traits were the same, the ridiculous hair, loud outfits, creative insults and brash attitude all remained whether on the side of good or bad.

Six years is a long time in such a persona, so when Jericho took a break from professional wrestling in 2005 there was little chance of him returning with the Y2J persona. Even so, for many fans it will be what they think of when they think of Chris Jericho.

Born in the middle of Wales in the middle of the 1980's, John can't quite remember when he started watching wrestling but he has a terrible feeling that Dino Bravo was involved. Now living in Prague, John spends most of his time trying to work out how Tomohiro Ishii still stands upright. His favourite wrestler of all time is Dean Malenko, but really it is Repo Man. He is the author of 'An Illustrated History of Slavic Misery', the best book about the Slavic people that you haven't yet read. You can get that and others from www.poshlostbooks.com.
