The Many Faces Of Jon Moxley - Ranked From Worst To Best

2. Jon Moxley (NJPW)

Moxley oozed coolness when he first dropped WWE like a bad habit and romped onto both New Japan and AEW territory in May 2019. Clad in straightforward black trunks and boots, he snarled at anybody who crossed his path and then systematically outwrestled them between the ropes.

That version of Mox was bad ass, man.

He's moved away from this in AEW, which is a pity. In NJPW, Jon has looked equal parts Steve Austin and Steve Williams. Both are compliments, and they display a hard edge that WWE could never have booked effectively - they didn't want to. They wanted passive Dean Ambrose with the ass injections and hokey promos.

If Moxley can find the hyper-cocky, tough aura he possessed just after WWE, then he'll become the most watchable performer in the industry. He's one million times more efficient as a straight-up brawler who can mix in technical prowess too.
