The Many Faces Of Jon Moxley - Ranked From Worst To Best
3. Jon Moxley (AEW)
Some might be expecting Moxley in AEW to be higher.
The reason it's not? Well, he hasn't quite capitalised on a red hot start, and he's suffering the same problems as World Champ that he did in WWE. Namely, he's much better as the guy chasing a heel champion than he is as the babyface defender. It's no accident that he was more enjoyable when Chris Jericho held the gold.
Since winning the belt, Ambrose has huffed and puffed without ever seeming like AEW's biggest star. His cracker against MJF at the recent All Out pay-per-view felt like an anomaly next to humdrum efforts opposite Brodie Lee at Double Or Nothing and Brian Cage at Fight For The Fallen.
Mox's AEW run is certainly preferable to almost everything he did post-2014 in WWE, but it should be better. There have been worrying signs that he's slipping back into redundant comedy too. This laid back and 'too cool for school' sh*t needs to stop.
