The Many Faces Of Jon Moxley - Ranked From Worst To Best

7. 'Hardcore' Jon Moxley (Indy/CZW)

Before The Shield, before inoculations and anything WWE or AEW, there was CZW's version of Jon Moxley.

A hard bastard who'd grit his teeth as glass shattered all around him and would happily roll through barbed wire if it meant creatively expressing himself, Moxley 1.0 was an acquired taste. It's difficult to put the indy/CZW version of Mox any higher on this list - he was a garbage wrestler.

Not literally, but stylistically. When motivated, Jon is one hell of a worker between the ropes. The thing is, before he joined WWE's system, he was more likely to indulge in ultra-violent, grisly brawls that only existed to satisfy sadists with an unnerving bloodlust.

The guy almost severed his own nipple during a match in Dragon Gate USA, for crying out loud. He was unapologetically brutal, as in-your-face as anyone could be and didn't mind putting his body through hell. Again, it wasn't for everybody.
