The Many Faces Of Jon Moxley - Ranked From Worst To Best

6. WWE Champion

One name springs to mind when remembering Ambrose as WWE Champion: Steve Austin. He inadvertently played a starring role during Dean's mediocre 84-day run as the main dude; 'Stone Cold' looked like he might stomp a mud hole in Ambrose during an uncomfortable interview for his WWE Network podcast.

As WWE Champ, Ambrose seemed out of sorts.

He had some decent matches, to be fair. After cashing in at MITB 2016 to win the belt, he clashed with old Shield pals Rollins and Reigns in a fun three-way at Battleground, then moved on to a so-so effort with Dolph Ziggler at SummerSlam. By the time AJ Styles came along and beat Ambrose for the strap at Backlash, his title reign was on life support.

Everyone was ready for a change, including Dean. He never once looked cosy when holding WWE's shiny corporate trinket, and he was even bumped down the card so the new Universal Title could co-headline SummerSlam.
