After Kane and Big Show lost the World Tag Team Championship to The Spirit Squad, Kane snapped once again. He began attacking anyone who mentioned the date May 19th, although it is fair to say this date was brought up more than normal during this period in spring 2006. WWE went into supernatural overdrive, with Kane's voice frequently echoing around arenas.

On the fateful date Kane took on Rey Mysterio as John 'Bradshaw' Layfield's handpicked partner, although he left both Rey and JBL (Rey-BL?) lying in a pile after his own voice could be heard. The source of all this anguish? Well, Kane claimed (Kaimed?) that this was the day in which his mother and adopted family were killed in a fire.

Of course, in reality May 19th was the day 'See No Evil' was released, the film in which Kane made his silver screen debut as Jacob Goodnight. The story was followed up with a brief one involving a Fake Kane, surely a nod to Jacobs' own beginnings in the company.

Born in the middle of Wales in the middle of the 1980's, John can't quite remember when he started watching wrestling but he has a terrible feeling that Dino Bravo was involved. Now living in Prague, John spends most of his time trying to work out how Tomohiro Ishii still stands upright. His favourite wrestler of all time is Dean Malenko, but really it is Repo Man. He is the author of 'An Illustrated History of Slavic Misery', the best book about the Slavic people that you haven't yet read. You can get that and others from www.poshlostbooks.com.
