The Many Faces Of Mick Foley Ranked - From Worst To Best

4. The Legend Maker

Foley had a brief run in 2004 that could feasibly be regarded as one of the best of his career, even if it revolved around a single feud. The Hardcore Legend returned proper at the 2004 Royal Rumble, eliminating Randy Orton and himself with a trademark Cactus Clothesline, weeks after Orton had spit in his face and branded him a phoney.

This lead to Foley's first WWE matches for four years, but the man himself has stated that his iconic bout with Orton at Backlash was the best of his career. He isn't wrong, in truth. All three classic Faces of Foley had been established at this point, and whilst it was Cactus Jack that was RKO'd onto a barbed wire baseball bat it was clearly Mick Foley through and through.

In truth, this should have been the end of Mick Foley's in-ring career. As it is, he was completely selfless and helped launched The Legend Killer into the stratosphere.

Born in the middle of Wales in the middle of the 1980's, John can't quite remember when he started watching wrestling but he has a terrible feeling that Dino Bravo was involved. Now living in Prague, John spends most of his time trying to work out how Tomohiro Ishii still stands upright. His favourite wrestler of all time is Dean Malenko, but really it is Repo Man. He is the author of 'An Illustrated History of Slavic Misery', the best book about the Slavic people that you haven't yet read. You can get that and others from www.poshlostbooks.com.
