The Many Faces Of Paul Heyman - Ranked From Worst To Best

1. The Advocate

Peturning to WWE in April 2012, Heyman once again linked-up with Brock Lesnar, first as ‘The Beast’s’ legal adviser, then later becoming his full-time manager. The next few years saw Paul expand his client pool far beyond Brock, however. CM Punk was the first wrestler to declare himself a “Paul Heyman guy,” and the duo found great success together, though Paul eventually betrayed the Chicagoan. They feuded in the aftermath, culminating in a brilliant No DQ match between Lesnar and Punk at SummerSlam 2013, which Brock won after Heyman’s interference.

The likes of Ryback, Curtis Axel, and Cesaro found little success with Heyman by their side, but their failings don’t detract from Paul’s successes. As Brock Lesnar’s ‘Advocate,’ the former ECW owner has absolutely perfected his act. Every promo has become a “must see,” and while he was always a great talker, Heyman’s recent run has elevated him to the Mount Rushmore of wrestling managers, placing him alongside names like Bobby Heenan and Freddie Blassie.

Brock’s stock has soared as a result of his reunion with Heyman. Since 2012, the former UFC Champion has won the WWE and Universal Championships, ended The Undertaker’s WrestleMania Streak, and retired Bill Goldberg. The duo's presence brings an air of importance to WWE programming that other performers just can’t match, and after three decades in the wrestling business, Heyman is sharper than ever.
