Evolution is one of the best stables that WWE has ever come up with, and each wrestler in it benefited greatly from being a part of it. Ric Flair finally got some respect again from the wrestling world, Randy Orton became the World Heavyweight Champion during his run, Batista became a top star and Triple H solidified himself as the most important wrestler in WWE.

Hunter was a far cry from his DX days in Evolution, as he traded in his T-shirts and jeans for expensive suits and limos. From 2003 to 2005, the group waged war on the roster in various forms. Both Orton and Batista spent significant amounts of time on the sidelines, but Hunter kept the group together and lead the war against the rest of the roster.

It was an important time for the wrestling industry as it was shortly after the end of WCW and ECW’s existence, and WWE became the true major leagues of the business. While the product was very hit-or-miss at the time, Hunter’s reign of top with Evolution was one of the best things they company had going.

As Rust Cohle from True Detective said "Life's barely long enough to get good at one thing. So be careful what you're good at." Sadly, I can't solve a murder like Rust...or change a tire, or even tie a tie. But I do know all the lyrics to Hulk Hogan's "Real American" theme song and can easily name every Natural Born Thriller from the dying days of WCW. I was once ranked 21st in the United States in Tetris...on the Playstation 3 version...for about a week. Follow along @AndrewSoucek and check out my podcast at wrestlingwithfriends.com
