The Many Faces Of Triple H - Ranked From Worst To Best

2. DX Leader

Shawn Michaels called it a career at WrestleMania 14, as his back was giving him too much trouble. This left the WWF with some big problems. Not only had they lost perhaps their greatest in-ring worker ever, but HBK’s incredibly popular DX stable was now without a leader. His sidekick Triple H was propelled into the role, and there had to have been some pretty big worries on how it would play out. Hunter excelled, and almost made us forget all about Michaels.

The night after Mania, Hunter announced he was taking over the group, X-Pac joined the company and they began their face run. The chemistry between the two stars, Chyna and The New Age Outlaws was one of the most entertaining things to watch in the Attitude Era.

For that next year, we watched Hunter come into his own as a wrestler, as his stable battled The Nation and blasted WCW and the WWF establishment itself. It was probably the time in HHH’s career where he was the coolest, and he left fans with a lot of great memories.

As Rust Cohle from True Detective said "Life's barely long enough to get good at one thing. So be careful what you're good at." Sadly, I can't solve a murder like Rust...or change a tire, or even tie a tie. But I do know all the lyrics to Hulk Hogan's "Real American" theme song and can easily name every Natural Born Thriller from the dying days of WCW. I was once ranked 21st in the United States in Tetris...on the Playstation 3 version...for about a week. Follow along @AndrewSoucek and check out my podcast at wrestlingwithfriends.com
