No one brings the best out of The Miz quite like Dolph Ziggler does, and that was evident dating back to their initial in-ring encounter in November 2012. They had an outstanding match on Main Event that merely served as a preview for what they were capable of producing throughout their rivalry for the Intercontinental Championship this year.

With the title being traded back and forth on several occasions, SmackDown Live general manager Daniel Bryan saw it fit to have them face off one final time at TLC. This time, however, they would battle for the belt in a Ladder match, which both men had history with. It was the perfect matchup for them to blow off their storied feud in, and they ultimately turned in a phenomenal performance from start to finish.

Although there were no disqualifications, Maryse (who was present at ringside for the entire match) didn't get involved once. Instead, Miz and Ziggler valiantly fought for the coveted title and pushed each other to their limits. Ziggler came close to regaining the gold only for Miz to send him spiraling to the mat down below, leading to Miz reclaiming his precious prize.

Afterward, Miz sent a message to Ziggler as well as Bryan that this was only the beginning of his Intercontinental Championship Reunion Tour. Another day, another notch.
