If you couldn't already tell, the careers of John Morrison and The Miz constantly paralleled each other from the moment they went their separate ways in 2009 to when Morrison left the company in 2011. Before their battles for the WWE Championship began, they were both in pursuit of the United States Championship in the fall of 2010. Miz was fresh off his loss of the star-spangled prize at Night of Champions, but instead of receiving a one-on-one rematch versus Daniel Bryan at Hell in a Cell, Morrison was added to the mix as well.

As if Miz wasn't already at a disadvantage, a Submissions Count Anywhere stipulation was added days ahead of the pay-per-view. Miz, who didn't have a single submission in his arsenal at that point, virtually had no chance of competing with Bryan and Morrison in that respect. Despite that, he showed great fire and adopted a few new moves in order to take home the gold.

They took their fight all around the arena, including on the sweet stage where a mini Hell in a Cell structure was set up. That was where Bryan secured the LaBelle Lock on his former "mentor" to force him to tap out and retain his title. This is easily among the most underrated matches for the U.S. Championship in recent memory and deserves more love from fans.
