The One Tag Team WWE Need To Push In 2019

Rowan Daniel Bryan Sami Zayn
WWE

Bryan is injured. Hurt during his WrestleMania 35 instant classic with Kofi Kingston, his condition is being kept a "closely-guarded secret." Reports on his status vary from "nothing to worry about" to something far grimmer. Many have used his history with concussions to reach a drastic conclusion on his future prospects; irresponsible, if understandable. Until he returns, though, the bottom line remains that nobody knows what is going on other than Daniel, his doctors, and top company officials.

Putting Bryan and Zayn together would also necessitate another post-Superstar Shake-Up brand switch. WWE have drawn considerable criticism for undermining their mini-draft by effectively extending it over the past few weeks, but the story should take precedence over any logistical concerns. To hell with the sanctity of the Superstar Shake-Up if it means missing out on a tag team this strong.

There's also a strong clamour for both men to embark on singles runs, particularly Zayn, who has never enjoyed a big solo spotlight on the roster. Bryan, meanwhile, is coming off one of the modern era's best WWE Title run. Some may see this as a relegation, but imagine what these two could do for the tag division if given the freedom to raise the scene, Night King style, from the pile of corpses it has become.

Zayn and Bryan, tag division vanguards, would rule, and elevate everybody around them.
