The Problem With "WWE Babyface" Brock Lesnar That Nobody Is Talking About

WWE could have a tough task on their hands with babyface Brock. Here's why!

Recent reports claim that WWE plans to feature Brock Lesnar as a top babyface going forwards on SmackDown.

If true, then he'd naturally rival Universal Champion Roman Reigns, and there's likely to be some verbal jousting with old 'Advocate' Paul Heyman in there too. The problem? Well, Brocky boy has never really been the best promo man - that's why WWE slapped Heyman on him in the first place.

It'd be quite the stretch to imagine that Lesnar's soft-spoken style could match up against Roman's confident bragging or Heyman's linguistic artistry. Would WWE get away with keeping Brock's promos short and simple? Absolutely, but that might not cut it after great back-and-forths between Reigns and the likes of Edge or John Cena.

Promos fought 50% of the battle in those programs.

Here's the thing: Lesnar has never been particularly great on the mic, and he doesn't have that one killer promo most top stars can point to as their oral magnum opus. There's a very good chance he could get found out and verbally slapped around by the peerless Reigns/Heyman combo if WWE tried to make things too wordy.

This is a subject someone backstage has to broach before it's too late.
