Ronda Rousey and Charlotte Flair's WWE Survivor Series 2018 clash closed in brutal fashion, as Charlotte snapped on the Raw Women's Champion, prompting a DQ finish and an apparent heel turn.

The beatdown continued after the bell. Flair obliterated Rousey inside the ring and out, finishing 'The Baddest Woman On The Planet' off by Pillmanizing her neck with a steel chair.

But just like Becky Lynch's SummerSlam turn, the crowd reactions didn't fall in line, as the assault was greeted with cheers and chants of "thank you Charlotte," while Rousey eventually walked out to jeers.

This wasn't WWE's intention, but the company seemingly aren't worried. Per Dave Meltzer on Wrestling Observer Radio, the set-piece was designed to get Charlotte over to Rousey and Lynch's level, regardless of cheers of boos, and it seems to have accomplished that.

WWE felt that Flair's reactions had cooled off since the start of the Lynch feud. Now, as planned, the company have three extremely over women at the top of their card.

Survivor Series was supposed to establish Charlotte as viable with Rousey, and although rumours of a Becky vs. Ronda main event circulated last week, WWE now have several options for this trio at WrestleMania 35.
