The Rise Of AEW's Jamie Hayter

With any rise in the wrestling business, said rise is to get to a certain point. For Jamie Hayter, she's now climbed to the top of the mountain as the top star of the AEW women's division.

Previously, some had suggested Hayter as being the one to finally bring an end to Jade Cargill's reign of dominance as the TBS Champion. Instead, Tony Khan has noted the reactions to the 27-year-old and instead opted to crown her the new Interim AEW Women's Champion.

As for what's next, there's two major possibilities that stand out for Hayter.

Firstly, there's the elephant in the room that's Thunder Rosa. La Mera Mera has been out of action due to back issues for the past three months, which is why All Out saw a four-way to crown an Interim AEW World Champion. Whilst Rosa is still the official AEW Women's Champion, Tony Khan has recently mentioned how he may remove that Interim mantle from Hayter's reign, depending on how things are looking for Thunder's AEW return. As and when the charismatic Rosa does return, an Interim Champion vs. Champion match writes itself.

Elsewhere, many fans are already pondering whether Jamie Hayter's recent title victory will be the start of a rivalry between her and Britt Baker. Will Britt simply be happy for her friend's success, or will that happiness soon turn to jealousy and envy?

Either way, the AEW women's division is in a great place with Jamie Hayter at the top of the food chain. Whichever way Tony Khan decides to take this, Hayter has proven time and again that she thrives when given the spotlight and the ball to run with.
