The Rock Called THIS AEW Star One Of Wrestling's "All Time Greats"

Three guesses who Rocky is talking about...

Chris Jericho
AEW

The Rock has referred to AEW's Chris Jericho as one of pro wrestling's "all time greats" when recalling their old matches on social media.

His Instagram post included footage of a WCW World Title bout between the pair on the 5 November 2001 episode of Raw. There, Rocky beat Jericho to win his eighth World Title. Some fans might've forgotten about that next to pay-per-view classics at No Mercy '01 and Royal Rumble 2002, but big Dwayne Johnson hasn't.

He described his matches with Jericho as "phenomenal", and then said 'Le Champion' should go down in history as one of the best ever. That's huge praise for the current AEW man. Jericho spoke highly of The Rock in his numerous books too, and both also recall a house show match in Hawaii fondly; they regard it as a special shared memory from their respective careers.

Jericho has defied age to reinvent himself once again. He's one of wrestling's best chameleons, and a master of reinvention. It's incredible to look back on his matches with Rocky from 19 years ago. That's enough to make anyone feel old.
