The Rock Makes HUGE Surprise Return On WWE SmackDown

Here's what The Rock had to say during his latest shock WWE TV comeback.

The Rock stopped by to make a surprise appearance on the latest episode of SmackDown, but...what did ol' Dwayne Johnson get up to?

Pat McAfee introduced Rocky to a booming response during his opening face-to-face with old rival Austin Theory. Then, The Rock stepped inside a WWE ring for the first time in a while and cut through Theory with some predictably-slick verbal jabs.

The segment ended with Dwayne hitting his People's Elbow on Theory before posing with a beaming McAfee and heading backstage.

Later, Rocky came nose-to-nose with John Cena, but the pair greeted one another. There's pretty much zero chance of another match between those pair at this point anyway! However, Johnson has been in the news for teasing a WrestleMania XL showdown with Roman Reigns - he was once viewed as something of a "final boss" for The Bloodline story, so look out for that next year in Philadelphia.

Pretty much nobody expected to see The Rock on this week's show, so his appearance came as a huge shock for fans in Denver. It's worth noting that this was the first episode of TV post-TKO announcement, so Vince McMahon and Triple H wanted to wheel out some big guns.
