The Rock's 10 WWE World Championship Reigns Ranked From Worst To Best
4. WWE Championship (3rd) 15 February 1999 - 28 March 1999
After trading the championship back and forth with Mankind like a hot potato since Survivor Series 1998, ‘The Brahma Bull’ defeated Mankind on RAW in a Ladder Match to finally put an end to his feud with Mick Foley.
St. Valentine’s Day Massacre the prior night saw ‘Stone Cold’ Steve Austin defeat Vince McMahon in a steel cage to become the challenger for the WWE Championship at WrestleMania XV. This match between Mankind and Rock would decide Austin’s opponent. Just as Mankind was close to retaining his belt, ‘Big Show’ Paul Wight interfered (much like he did one night before) and Chokeslammed Mankind off the ladder, which allowed 'The Great One' to climb it and reclaim the title for the third time in just three months.
This is a very important reign in Rock’s career since it led to his first WrestleMania main event, where he lost the championship to ‘Stone Cold’ Steve Austin at 'Mania XV.
