After The Undertaker's return at Survivor Series 2005, the stage was set for one final match against Randy Orton. That contest came the following month at Armageddon, where the two men had a bloody Hell in a Cell bout. The Undertaker was victorious, finally finishing Orton off and then posing menacingly atop the steel structure to close the show.

Undertaker took a leave of absence after the match, and in the meantime, World Heavyweight Champion Batista was forced to give up his title due to an injury. Kurt Angle ended up claiming the vacant title, and defended it successfully in the main event of the 2006 Royal Rumble.

After the match ended, though, eerie music began to play. Sure enough, The Undertaker was back, led out to the aisle on a horse-drawn carriage. The entire spectacle was breathtaking, but things got even crazier. After motioning to Angle that he wanted the title, Undertaker raised his hands in the air and caused the ring to collapse right under the World Heavyweight Champion's feet.
