The Undertaker: 5 Awesome Matches & 5 That Sucked

3. The Undertaker vs. Edge For World Heavyweight Championship (WrestleMania XXIV, 2008)

Edge got his first taste of being a main eventer in 2006 but by 2008, he had settled firmly as a top guy. In 2008, he was the World Heavyweight Champion and on the grandest stage of them all, he was set to defend against the man who he'd cashed in his Money In The Bank briefcase on just months before, The Undertaker. In front of over 70,000 fans, Edge and Undertaker had the dubious task of following Ric Flair's retirement match and Big Show's celebrity encounter with Floyd Mayweather. The two superstars took the challenge and knocked it out of the park. In a superb main event, Edge would come dangerously close to retaining his title and ending Undertaker's WrestleMania streak until in the end, a Hells Gate would seal his fate and Undertaker would again become World Heavyweight Champion. With Taker in his early 40's, he was like a fine wine, only getting better with age.
