The Undertaker has admitted that he didn't always "buy" some picks as WWE Champion over the years.

WWE's 30-year workhorse told Yahoo that he personally raised his eyebrows when these men won the belt, because he didn't see them as championship material. Often, he says, that wasn't their fault - WWE's booking either didn't groove or there was one small piece of the puzzle missing that stoped them from feeling "legit".

That's an important word to 'Taker. He wanted fans to come away from his performances and title matches thinking he was 100% deserving of that lofty spot. Some others failed to convince the legend that they were worthy of being the guy in WWE.

He refused to name names. 'Taker probably feels there's no point in publicly burying peers at this stage in his career - in fairness, that's not something he has ever really done during media engagements.

The icon did add that he thinks it's vital to be "middle of the road". Explaining, he said that guys must look the part, but also be able to work with all shapes and sizes. That, to him, is what makes a credible champion.
