The Undertaker's 10 Most Dramatic WWE Segments

5. Ascending To The Rafters After 'Dying' (Royal Rumble 1994)

For a superstar whose whole persona flies in the face of mortality, The Undertaker has certainly had his fair share of on-screen 'deaths' over the tenure of his WWE career. Even though he has always existed in an unholy middle ground between the living and the dead, fellow WWE performers have seemed eternally convinced that they could be the one to end the Phenom forever. One of Taker's many deaths and resurrections took place at Royal Rumble 1994. After a devastating casket match (another gimmick match that was created specifically with the Deadman in mind) with Yokozuna, Undertaker was ambushed by a group of heels who helped Yoko seal him inside the casket. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=liv61cpHHKQ The Phenom's grim visage then appeared on the Titantron, where he delivered an intimidating promo about how 'the spirit of The Undertaker lives in all mankind' and how his 'origin cannot be explained'. To be honest, it was mostly nonsensical, 'scary' bunkum, but it sure sounded cool. The icing on the cake then came when he levitated out of the casket, spotlight shining on him as he rose majestically towards the ceiling. Nice.
