The Undertaker's 12 WWE Hell In A Cell Matches From Worst To Best
9. Vs. CM Punk - Hell In A Cell 2009
Once again, a mouth-watering prospect of a match. Unfortunately, although Punk was slowly growing into the role of a despised heel, he wasn't quite at the top of his game. 'Taker, meanwhile, had only recently returned from another injury-related sabbatical. But there were other issues going into this match that meant that it could never live up to its potential. Punk had been taken to task by Undertaker and WWE officials for answering back to The Deadman, who had offered Punk advice along the lines of 'if you're the Champion, you should dress like the Champion'. Never one to get on with authority figures, Punk shot back that John Cena didn't have to wear a suit and tie, so why should he? This did not go down well. Due to his insolence, Punk was relieved of the World Heavyweight Championship here. It took 'Taker only ten minutes and one Tombstone Piledriver to put an end to the Punk experiment. The match was just OK, too short to really mean anything.
